25/02/2015
Meyner and Landis LLP, a US law firm specializing in US wide immigration for corporate and other business clients, has expanded its immigration practice by partnering with the global labor and employment practice of Labor Law Plus®.
Labor Law Plus®, a division of the London based global legal services provider, Transatlantic Law International, is a global legal service providing integrated labor and employment law services, as well as full business law support, in more than 90 countries to the global legal and human resource communities.
Labor Law Plus covers all countries in Europe including all EU and EEA countries, all major countries in the Middle East, and all major countries in Africa, Russia, Asia-Pacific, China, India, the United States, Latin America and Canada.
Labor Law Plus’s advantage is that it is a simple and effective one stop shop for the global HR and legal communities with all L&E legal requirements handled under one roof centrally - or by region or country if the client prefers – in a way that also addresses all other business law support requirements.
The US Immigration Service, to be led by the founder and head of Meyner and Landis’ Immigration Law Group, Anthony Siliato, is a new service for Labor Law Plus and will bring extensive US immigration expertise to Labor Law Plus’ global clients.
With a special emphasis on corporate and business immigration law, the US team has expertise with all temporary work-related visa classifications, as well as all immigrant visa categories, including obtaining a green card through the alien labor certification process (PERM). Representation also includes that of outstanding researchers, extraordinary ability foreign nationals and those seeking national interest waivers.
In addition, the team regularly counsels business clients in areas of worksite compliance, including H-1B public access file compliance, I-9 Audits and electronic (E-Verify) verification requirements, and immigration consequences of mergers and acquisitions.
Anthony Siliato commented, “We see joining Labor Law Plus as a natural extension to our business. We represent domestic and international clients of all sizes, from Fortune 500 companies to international start-ups, across a wide variety of industries. This will allow us to grow our business and better serve our international clients.”
Erik Lazar, founder and director of both Transatlantic Law and Labor Law Plus, said: “We are delighted that Meyner and Landis has joined Labor Law Plus and that we are now able to offer our clients a best in class US Immigration Service. This is something that our international clients have been requesting but we needed to ensure that we partnered with the right US law firm with the right expertise. Meyner and Landis is that firm.”
“We expect the service to continue to expand and grow to meet global L&E and business requirements Everywhere Business Needs To Be® - a by-word for all our services which both captures where we are and is a service pledge we take seriously” Lazar concluded.
Membership of the Labor Law Plus global labor and employment group is by invitation only and only for vetted and highly rated firms.
