Colombia Covid-19 update for business
25/01/2022In order to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the Ministry of Labor issued the following guidelines:
- Employees who work in establishments open to the public must comply with the Covid-19 vaccination.
- Employees who provide services in bars, gastropubs, restaurants, cinemas, nightclubs, concerts, casinos, bingos and leisure activities, as well as sports events, amusement and theme parks, museums, and any activity that involves attention to the public, must comply with the vaccination schedule to present their vaccination card to the employer.
- Employers must carry out mechanisms and establish biosafety protocols for the protection of employees, such as compliance with the vaccination schedule and hygiene and safety measures.
- If an employee decides not to be vaccinated, this situation does not give the faculty to the employer to terminate the employment agreement with cause.
